Apple is finally coming to grips with the issue of auto-focus in iOS 11, and the company is taking the opportunity to implement a workaround that will disable the feature entirely.
Auto-aim is a feature that allows the user to focus on the camera’s center point of interest (CGO), rather than the object that the camera is focused on.
To disable auto focus, simply tap the Home button twice.
This is not the first time that Apple has taken a proactive stance on this issue.
Back in July, Apple rolled out a fix that enabled users to toggle Auto-Focus mode on or off from Settings > General > Autofocus.
The feature was initially a toggle for the camera, but iOS 11 finally brought it to the camera as a toggle, so users can turn it on or not on in their settings.
