We’ve been testing macOS Sierra on the iMac Pro for a few days now, and while it’s been a big milestone in terms of the Mac Pro’s overall performance, we still haven’t seen a single instance of the iMAC Pro’s OS X-like features being exploited in the wild.
Thankfully, it’s still possible to use the iMateOS desktop on macOS Sierra, but the biggest problem with this particular build of macOS Sierra is the fact that it doesn’t support iMATEOS’s built-in audio driver, which makes the MacPro extremely laggy.
As such, you’re going to need to use another software solution if you want to listen to music or play videos.
In short, there’s no iMates audio solution for macOS Sierra.
We’ve written about how to use Apple’s own Audio Manager, but if you need a more direct and easy-to-use solution, you can use Apple AudioManager from Mac OS X’s default menu.
